As our childhood icons move out of the spotlight, what do they do with themselves? In this case, I couldn’t be happier about one of the first powerful lady figures I saw on MTV. This was before I knew what punk was, but I must say this project is about as punk as it gets!

Growler Distro/Record Store is open for local (anything in the state of Colorado) bands. I want to establish a space where you can sell your music to your growing fan base. With that said, check out this really good article about consignment practices to get your brain thinking. I will update soon with a more in depth description of Growler’s consignment policies.
So you want to help out?
I’m looking for folks who want to make their mark on the record store and I have some options for you:
1. I need people to decorate busted/fucked up records and deliver them to the store by Sept. 1. You can do anything you want with the record to make it your piece of art. The plan is to hang the lot of them from the ceiling. Kind of a new take on a classic record store decorating idea.
